We are looking for a Project Manager for a public entity responsible for traffic and urban environment.

This is a consulting assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The scope of the position varies during the assignment and corresponds to 25–100% of full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role involves acting as an assistant project manager or project manager, responsible for planning and executing investment and reinvestment projects within traffic, roads, bridges, quays, and urban environment. The aim is to drive the projects with significant personal responsibility and ensure delivery within time, cost, and quality, in collaboration with internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

Operational project management, including financial and follow-up responsibilities

Develop project plans and propose resource allocation, both internally and externally

Staff projects with consultants, designers, and contractors along with support resources

Administrative project management in tools such as Agresso, Hypergene, and TOJ, etc.

Data management in the AVIMA tool according to the defined project template

Application of Teknik's handbook, Project Handbook, and Small Project Handbook

Planning and specifying the assignment in consultation with the client

Hold a kickoff meeting at the start of the assignment, unless otherwise agreed

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

Relevant Master's/Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant specialization (road and water construction, urban planning) or equivalent.

Current and at least nine (9) years of experience as a project manager from a similar role within infrastructure or other comparable complex projects.

Traffic arrangements and earthworks on public land, City of Stockholm. Approved training and valid certification.

Project management training equivalent to PMI, IPMA, Certified Project Manager or equivalent training. Approved theoretical training of at least 3 days is required.

Good knowledge of the urban development process.

Strong ability to guide and experienced in collaborating with various roles within a politically governed organization as well as with external stakeholders.

Good knowledge of industry regulations such as AMA, MER, AB/ABT, and ABK.

Experience in procurement and LOU.

The assignment places high demands on accuracy and leadership skills as well as good language skills and a high ability to communicate in both speech, writing, and presentation execution.

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Desirable

Experience in infrastructure projects in city center environments.

-City center environments are characterized by buildings, sidewalks, crosswalks, intersections, public transport stops, traffic signals, multi-lane roads. Traffic consists of a mix of traffic types (pedestrians, cyclists, cars, buses, trucks, and rail traffic), frequent lane changes, small distances between vehicles, sometimes stationary traffic (queues), and low traffic speeds.

Project manager role in a completed infrastructure project involving art structures in water environments with good references.

-Water environments are characterized by work with structures in water that require notification or permits for water activities.

-Art structures refer to types of buildings that bridge natural obstacles in the landscape, such as bridges, tunnels, stairs, retaining walls, noise barriers, docks, quays, ferry terminals, etc.
